1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Lingexa at lingexa.app (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Lingexa is an English exam preparation platform that provides:
- AI-powered writing feedback and speaking scoring
- Listening, reading, and use-of-English practice exercises
- Progress tracking and analytics
- Live classes and teacher writing corrections (paid features)
- Mock exam simulations
3. User Accounts
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
- One person may not maintain more than one account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Free and Paid Plans
Free Tier
The free tier provides limited daily usage of AI-powered features (writing feedback, speaking scoring). Usage limits reset daily.
Paid Plans
- Monthly subscription — recurring payment, cancel anytime. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
- Packs (90/180 days) — one-time payment for a fixed access period. No auto-renewal.
- Add-ons — teacher writing corrections and live classes are available as one-time purchases for paid plan subscribers.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Rebill. Prices are displayed in USD or ARS depending on your location. All prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
5. Teacher Add-ons
Teacher writing corrections and live classes are sold as individual add-ons. Credits for classes never expire. Cancellation policy for booked classes: cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full credit refund.
6. Refund Policy
- Monthly subscriptions: No refunds for partial months. Cancel anytime to stop future charges.
- Packs: Refund requests within 7 days of purchase and with less than 10% usage will be honored. Contact us at hello@lingexa.com.
- Live classes: Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are non-refundable. Classes can be rescheduled with 24+ hours notice.
7. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to provide writing feedback, speaking scoring, and exercise corrections. While we strive for accuracy:
- AI feedback is provided as a learning aid and may contain errors.
- AI scores are approximate and may differ from official exam scores.
- AI feedback does not replace professional teacher assessment.
- We continuously improve our AI models but do not guarantee specific accuracy levels.
8. User Content
- You retain ownership of content you submit (writing essays, recordings, etc.).
- You grant us a license to process your content for the purpose of providing the Service (AI analysis, teacher review).
- You must not submit content that is illegal, abusive, or violates third-party rights.
- We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the Service
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or payment requirements
- Use the Service for any purpose other than personal English exam preparation
- Reproduce or redistribute exam materials accessed through the Service
10. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- AI feedback will be 100% accurate
- You will pass your exam (except under the Guarantee Pack terms)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your access to paid features ends immediately, and your data will be deleted within 30 days.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
